About Dr. Anne Hines

Anne Hines, MD, is a board-certified family physician whose practice has been informed by her first career as a nurse and by family experiences with autism. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1972 with a BA in Russian and then completed an MS in Nursing in 1975 from Pace University and New York Medical College. She is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed a family practice residency in Tacoma, Washington in 1989. She has studied integrative medicine since 1998 when she attended her first Defeat Autism Now! conference. Her practice is dedicated to the biomedical treatment of autism and related disorders.

Dr. Hines and her husband also manage a human services company for individuals with developmental disabilities. They have a daughter, a son with autism (pictured above), and two grandchildren.
